I woke up and I saw that I had a mouth on my arms. Its lips were black but lucious, and they were extremely cracked as if they had withered in the air for all my life without once being used. After a bit of contemplation, I decided to try to touch it. The moment I did the mouth sparked into being.

“Hey what are you doing?”

“What the hell!”

“What you’ve never seen a talking mouth before, have you huh? Well now you have. So take pleasure in it.”

“You can’t be serious.”

“No but I can be a mouth, and I am.”

“What the hell.”

“You’ve said that twice now. When are we moving subjects.”

“I don’t get it, how are you talking to me. You don’t have a tongue or a throat.”

“I do. Just not here, not now, they’ve taken a vacation.”

“I’ve got to be dreaming.”

“You’ll be late for school if you don’t get going now.”

“But I don’t want to go to school-”

“Stop being so childish!”

“With a mouth on my arm…”

“Okay then, would you prefer a tongue then?”

“But how are you even speaking?”

“The same way you are.”

“But I have a throat and tongue.”

“And?”

“And that’s what lets me speak.”

“Hah cute.”

“What?”

“Cute.”

“Why?”

“Because that has nothing to do with speaking at all. It’s all about having a voice, which I do.”

“I also have a voice.”

“Yeah but it’s weak.”

“What?”

“Anyway, are you going to feed me?”

“What do you mean feed you, I don’t even want you here.”

“Okay then let me go on vacation.”

“Okay then mouth, you’re free to take a vacation.”

Tiny arms and legs extended out of my mouth, and before I knew it, it had jumped down, and sprinted down towards the door. A gaping hole was left in my mouth that strangely didn’t hurt or feel at all.

“My name’s actually Jacub.”
