The trip had been fun, and pretty relaxing, so far. The hike wasn’t too bad. Adam and I had the camp easily set up before sunset.

Adam was already crashed out and I was just starting to doze off. I didn’t hear anything but felt like I was being watched. I opened my eyes for a second and saw Adam standing next to a guy that looked pale and washed out.

I rubbed my eyes real quick and then Adam was pale and washed out too. I closed my eyes again thinking “I’m half alseep,” and it got a little cooler. When I opened my eyes this time the campsite and everything around it looked washed out.

Adam and the other guy looked normal again though.
