The interior of my car was flooded with a bright red light. Outside, a thick red mist enveloped everything as far as the eye could see. In every direction I looked, mist swirled and twisted across the landscape. My eyes darted around as I desperately searched for a landmark. I needed something – anything – to reassure me that I wasn’t trapped in some sort of hellish limbo. Panic intensified as whipped my head around, looking from window to window. Suddenly, I froze. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw something scurry passed outside. I slowly turned to look out my window. As I moved my face closer to the glass, breath trembling, I squinted against the bright red hue. At first, I didn’t see anything. But, the longer I looked, the more horrified I became.
