It happens one night, that for just an eye blink, the sky turns completely dark, so that the stars and the moon disappears. Then, when it all comes back, there is a man’s face on the moon. It is a smiling, happy face, made out of the moon’s environment. No one can explain it, but we grew used to it, eventually we even came to like it’s positive appearance.

Another night, the sky turns dark again, and when it comes back, the man in the moon has a look of absolute terror on his face. The look persisted for about a week, then over the next couple days the moon begins mouthing something as the sky turns dark and comes back, as if in stop motion.

We realize the moon is saying “IT IS COMING. RUN.” then the sky turns dark a final time. It took a while for it to come back again, but when it does, all that is left of the man in the moon is a lifeless skull.

The next day, there had grown a face on our Earth. It looks terrified.
