It was about 3 weeks ago when this happened. I was looking for new dating applications to try and my friend had mentioned to me “did you ever try match?” And I replied with “That cheesy platform with all those ads you see on TV saying that their platform is #1 online? That can’t work I think it’s a waste of time.” He then responded with “Dude that’s how my uncle met his wife. I’ve tried it out in the past myself and it does work. You can even get easy hookups off that site.”

I thanked my friend for recommending that site to me. When I got home from work on a Thursday evening I made an profile. What turned me off was the fact a lot of features were turned off on the free version. Then I looked and it said “Labor day weekend only” 20% off per month and a 3 day free trial. And I wondered to myself “Hey you can’t beat free!?” So I decided to sign up anyways and delete the profile if I didn’t like it. I entered some basic information, name, height, religion, hobbies, smoker or non smoker and drinker or non drinker. Then I uploaded 4 pictures that displayed myself well.

I only spent a little bit of time on the website because I wanted to watch Thursday Night Football. I was so excited for the NFL to be back. During halftime i checked my phone and noticed a few ladies left me on seen but a few did respond back. All of a sudden one message caught my eye it was from an older very attractive lady for this story we’ll call her Crystal. Crystal is a 37 year old green eyed blonde. 2 of the facial features I’m a sucker for.Her account picture was her with her French Bulldog chilling in the living room. So of course me being a 29 year old man hit accept on her message.

Crystal’s message was “Hello handsome, I see your new here. How are you liking the site so far? I then reply “So far I’m liking it” Then we went into some small talk about the Chicago Cubs since we are both fans and I had a pic on my account of me wearing a Swanson jersey. About half an hour of texting on the site happens between us. Then Crystal mentioned, “I feel like it would be easier to get to know each other via a call. Is that okay with you?” I said “Of course and I like that idea.”

She gave me her number and I called her. Crystal answered in a soft sweet voice “Hello?” I then respond with “You have such a cute voice, it’s Gio from match.” She responds typically like all women do “Oh stop it I hate my voice.” We get into some conversation and she says “what are your intentions of joining match are you looking for something specific? I reply with “It would be nice to find that special someone but I’m open to anything” (End of part 1)
