Do you hear the bell ringing? Well, you will soon enough. It is coming for all of us!

I worked for a secret government program aimed at proving the existence of a multiverse. The technology available to us was like something out of a science fiction movie. Secret goverment technologies like a machine that can create wormholes. How it worked I do not know. My job was simply to enter the wormhole and bring back samples, and pictures of whatever was on the other side.

I still remember the humming sound the machine made as it ripped open a wormhole. My eyes widened upon seeing the round black void seemingly appearing out of thin air. As I was suiting up and preparing to enter the wormhole, I remember feeling a sense of dread. Like something was waiting for me on the other side of that portal. Expecting me!

As I approached the wormhole the faint sound emanating from it was getting louder. From a short distance it had no audible sound at all. But the closer you get, the louder the whooshing sound becomes. Like waves battering against the jagged rocks beneath a cliff.

Cautiously I reached one arm into the portal, before proceeding to enter fully.

Stepping into the wormhole a strange sensation came over me, a tingling throughout my entire body, that was over as soon as I had fully stepped through. And when I was fully through, it was not what I expected at all. I was standing in the same lab from which I had came. Only it was empty. And the air all around was freezing. I pulled the video camera out of my bag and tried to turn it on. It was dead.

Suddenly a loud chiming of a bell made me jump. Then everything became darkness, pitch black. I could not even see my own hand in front of my face. All the while the bell continued to chime loudly all around. Then the light returned, and with it also came terror. The walls that were once bare, now dripped with blood!

The lights went out once more. And the bell grew louder, and louder. Until my ears began to bleed. And when the lights came back. I fell back in fright. Human body parts hung from chains with hooks that dangled down from the ceiling. The walls now had massive eyeballs protruding from them. Each one blinking in unison. And I could feel the cold stare of all of them.

The lights went out again, and I winced in pain at the sound of the bell. Each chime becoming like a knife being stabbed into my eardrum repeatedly. Then the lights returned. Something was written on the wall in blood…

WE ARE COMING!

I bolted as fast as I could back to the portal and tried to close it quickly. But I knew it was too late as soon as the lights went out, and the bell began to ring!
