Have you ever smelled something coming from your faucet water? A lot of people think it comes from something in the pipes.

It’s not though.

My neighborhood gets all of its water supply from one huge lake that sits right beside it. The water is filtered before coming to everyone’s homes.

Recently, a lot of people in the neighborhood have been complaining about a very foul stench coming from faucets when the tap is ran. Some have even gotten sick from the water.

We’ve all noticed it around last week and the smell’s been there ever since.

Some speculated that the pipes carrying the water to everyone’s houses had something wrong with them. Or maybe the filtration system was broken.

That would explain the smell and why people had been getting sick from drinking the faucet water.

A few days ago, I was walking to the store that sits right next to the lake and smelled the same odor that I smelled coming from the faucets.

I thought it was strange but just took a mental note and moved on.

Yesterday, the rest of the neighborhood too had decided the smell was coming from the lake and had gotten so bad. The entire neighborhood agreed on draining the lake to find the source of the smell that had been affecting everyone recently. They started draining it very in the morning.

What we found tonight was so disgusting. At the very bottom of the lake, there were at least 7-8 bodies of people that had gone missing over a week before the water started smelling.

That discovery explained a lot. The cops were called and we think we have a neighborhood killer. The more recently deceased bodies seem to have been killed in the same way.

Me and my husband have decided that we’re moving away from this town and to a city miles away from here. I hope no one ever goes through the same thing.
