“Good morning…” someone whispers into my ear as I jolt up, gasping for breath.

“What the fuck?” I shout in horror.

I live alone. It must have just been a bad dream. It’s still dark out, must be maybe 4 AM, still time to get back to sleep. I go to look at my phone to check the time and set an alarm, but I can’t move. My body must have fallen asleep too or something. As I struggle to lift the covers and raise my arms, I hear the voice again, this time much louder.

“GOOD MORNING!” shouts the same voice from before.

Jesus Christ…I must be going through some sleep paralysis or something. Out of the corner of my eye, I see someone dash from my bed to the bedroom door. I would have jumped to my feet in horror, but I still can’t move…all I can do is watch as this apparition invades my vision.

Shadows are all I can see as this invader dances around my apartment. Occasionally, he shouts “good morning”, but he doesn’t come to check on me again. All I can hear is banging, breaking, and shouting as I lay there defenseless.

Suddenly, and without warning, the intruder rushes into my bedroom, jumps onto the bed, and puts his face right in front of mine. Again, normally I would be jumping in pure fear, but I can’t fucking move…this is awful. His face is pale, scarred, and old-looking and he is staring at me with bright blue eyes. This is one realistic-looking sleep-paralysis demon.

“I’m so glad we get to spend this time together” the demon says as he glides his hand across my face.

His hands are rough and feel almost wet as they graze my chin. When he removes his hands, I can see blood dripping from them. This feels a little too real.

“You aren’t as scared as I thought you would be tough guy” he taunts me in a low, quiet voice.

He sits on the bed next to me and begins to ramble about who he is and why he is here.

“WAIT” he suddenly shouts, causing me to almost jump…if I was able to, “you think you are having sleep paralysis dream…don’t you?”
