The tower has fallen, the light has gone out, the dark void rises, our only refuge slowly sinks into the cold darkness. I let out a cry as I know what waits for me below. There are many unknown things that reside in the darkness, however they are not what I fear the most. I fear that my body may never be found, but I most fear that others will lose their lives taking on a hopeless rescue mission. As I write this the legs buckle and bend, the scream of metal against metal is all I can hear. My wife may cry for my loss, but others will do the same if you come for me, so for god’s sake know that we are all already dead. And know that taking a job on an oil rig is a stupid idea.
