Every day there are new people, and they're always focused on me. It's the children that get to me the most. It's almost like they're afraid of me. I've never hurt anyone before, and I mainly keep to myself. I've no clue as to why I get these weird looks.

One day, though, a kid crossed the line. He grabbed my neck and started pulling me down. I had no choice, I was pinned. The only thing I could do was bite. It worked. He screamed and ran off. Now, they've got me locked up in this cage instead of being out there where I'm free. It should be that kid that's in here, but no. It's me.

At least now, not as many people give me weird looks. In the reflection, I see the sign above my cage reads "rattlesnake." Funny, I've never rattled.
