My sister went missing nearly a year ago. It was a mystery to everyone, she vanished without a trace, it was coming clear that she would never be found.

I was a suspect, of course, the last time she was seen was when we went camping together near the towns River, I was in the police station for days, being constantly grilled as to the location of her.

I denied all knowledge of her location, eventually they had to release me due to lack of evidence to proceed to trial. I was telling the truth though, I genuinely didn’t know where she was.

For months my parents pleaded and begged me to tell them where she was, every time they pleaded i just told them I didn’t know. I was telling the truth after all.

Eventually they chucked me out and I found my own place, they didn’t contact me until six months later when my dad broke the door down, he launched at me, pinned me up against the wall by my neck and with a knife held to my throat said “I’m going to ask you one last time, WHERE IS SHE?!”.

A few moments of silence was had then I let out a light chuckle, then I told him “I’m telling you dad I don’t know! I don’t know where the river leads to!”
