I heard some commotion in the living room while I was trying to sleep. I went down to investigate but it was only my mother sitting in her rocking chair.

"Mom, why aren't you in bed?" I asked

I got no reply. I just shrugged it off and assumed she probably didn't have her hearing aids in. When I was walking back up the stairs the sudden realization came to me. My mother died 5 years ago. So who was that woman in the chair?
