hi! sorry if this isn’t formatted correctly, first time using Reddit so I don’t know what the rules are lol

basically, I’m trying to sleep and failing because I cannot for the life of me remember the name of this odd and creepy scary story I read years ago. I can’t remember the name (obviously) or who wrote it, but I do remember it was a short story. it was about a babysitter, a teenage girl, who got hired to babysit a couple’s baby (I don’t remember age, prob less than a year old?). she shows up to the house and notices the couple is kind of odd, but it doesn’t really bother her and she also notices the outdated decor. it’s very reminiscent of the 1970s, if I remember correctly, and musty smelling. the couple tells her the baby is in its crib sleeping, and to NOT go in the room because they didn’t want him waking up. they really stressed this, like were super insistent, and it made her feel weird but she agreed. before they left, they tell her when they’ll be back and that she could help herself to what’s in the kitchen if she got hungry. they leave and after a while she goes to make some food, only to find the bread very moldy as well as the cheese she was going to use for a sandwich. every food she found was old, moldy and she started to get more uneasy but tried to ignore it. I think she went to check on the baby at some point, I can’t remember why…I think it was crying, so she goes up and goes to pick him up but it’s not a baby. I think the story said that she stuck her hand in a pile of goo? and possibly something about a recording of baby cries…I can’t remember what happens after that but it really creeped me out. I’ve been searching google for all the keywords I can think of, 7 thousand different ways, and nothing but weird babysitting hacks and “what to do if your food gets moldy”. please help!!
