Jolly music permeates the air.

Happy children are everywhere.

The children flock to the ice cream van,

Where sits a big fat smiling man.

His face is covered in stitches,

And his right eye twitches.

He chuckles with joy,

As approaches a boy.

“What flavours do you have today?”

“Why my dear boy we have an array!”

The ice cream man showed his wares.

As all the children watched with stares.

“I have every flavour under the sun!”

As a child was now beginning to run.

For what he saw sent shivers up his spine.

He saw poor Caroline!

Dead, and without fingers.

But yet in his mind a confusion still lingers.

He turns around.

Attracted by the jolly sound.

The children eat their ice-cream.

As their helpless little eyes stream.

The ice cream man sang a song.

And forced the children to sing along!

“I scream!”

“You scream!”

“We all scream for ice-cream!”
