I’ve noticed early on that nothing would happen to me if I was average. So I set out to be the most average person alive. The average person dies of old age, the average person doesn’t get murdered, the average person doesn’t get promoted…but doesn’t get fired either. Average is safe. Average is predictable. Average is an unassuming blanket of protection.
