My girlfriend turns into a monster when she removes her make-up. AITA for making her make-up non-removable?

When I first started dating Tanya, I was bowled over by her beauty and just as importantly, her sociability and charm. I come from a fairly introverted family, basically we hang out with my parents, aunt, cousin, two best friends from school and their wives. I work as a chemical engineer, and it’s not the kind of job where we “socialize”.

Tanya opened a new life for me. She works in events management, and she is outgoing by nature. We are always going to some function or event, and I find it hard to keep track which are professional and which personal. She has tons of friends, although more recently I am realising they are more like “social friends”, not like my Bill and John whom I’ve known since I was born, and our parents know each other forever. People seem always on the move in her world but I have a lot of fun when I’m with her.

She is also very beautiful, stylish, not like any other girl I’ve dated, who consider jeans as dressing up. But we are spending more time together, and she has started staying over at my place, and then – I realised without a doubt, when she removes her make-up, she literally turns into a monster. I am not talking metaphorically, let me make that very clear.

The first time it happened, I was too shocked to say anything. I just saw this human-female-size furry creature sort of snarl and push itself past me, collapse on the bed, wrap itself up in a duvet, and start snoring. I was exhausted from the function we’d just returned from, and a little drunk, and I seemed to pass out.

In the morning, Tanya was her usual put-together self, chatting away.

It happened again- the other night, I glimpsed her in the bathroom, dragging these wet balls of cotton across her face. Swathes of color came off on the cotton wool. I saw her face in the mirror- a beast, with fierce red eyes, puckered yellow-grey skin with tufts of hair poking out, dirty claws. She saw me looking, our eyes locked and she turned around “What are you looking at? You fucking creep! Can I get some privacy here?” her voice rose to a shriek, I turned and fled. I had never seen anything so terrifying in my life.

So I fixed her make-up. I watched videos to understand – the foundation, the powder, the shadows. After, it was simple, using materials I had easy access to from my workplace.

Now, she cannot wipe away her make-up at the end of night- not unless her make-up remover contains abrasive chemicals which would also take off her skin, which my understanding is that it does not. She will remain my beautiful Tanya, no terrifying transformation into a beast. I am sure she will be grateful to me.
