A crash of thunder sounded as Joshua, Ashley, Megan and Lauren ran into the apartment block to get out of the rain on a cold November evening. The four twenty year olds crammed into the elevator and ascended to the 8th floor. Joshua sheepishly followed his three female roommates to the door of Ashley’s friend’s apartment, not knowing what to expect. He was freezing, wearing only his boxer briefs and a t shirt under a long coat. They’d been invited to a “sexy slumber party”. The invitation message had detailed the dress code: “girls: cute pajamas or other nightwear; guys: underwear ?”

Ashley’s 21 year old friend Nicole answered the door, wearing a short nightie that came down to her upper thigh. “Hey guys, welcome! Come on in! how are you? So good to see you!” she said as they walked into her entrance hall. The apartment was massive and Ashley had told Joshua it had 12 rooms. Nicole was tall and tanned, with black hair and a slim body. Ashley hugged Nicole and introduced her roommates. “It’s so so nice to meet you guys” Nicole said with a simper, seeming to make a lot of eye contact with Joshua in particular. “It’s so great to have another guy here, we’re running short tonight” Nicole said with a laugh.

As they chatted, there was a knock at the front door, and a medium height girl with pale skin and dark blonde hair walked through the door. Her eyes immediately locked with Joshua’s as he recognized her as Abigail from middle college. They’d been good friends but hadn’t spoken in years, and both were now 20 years old. Abi’s eyes lit up and she asked “Joshua, how are you. It’s been so long!” as she ran up to hug him. She was normally quite shy, as was Joshua, but they fell into each other’s business naturally as old friends.

“Oh my god! You guys know each other! That’s so cool!” exclaimed Nicola, with a smile and a glare at her school ‘friend’ Abi. “You know what, I think it’s time you all joined the party. Girls do you wanna get changed in the side room before coming in?” Nicole asked, gesturing to a door on the side.

“Yeah sure”, Megan said, and Ashley and Laruen followed her.

“I’m wearing my pajamas under my coat, it’s fine” Abi said, as she was shy of talking to the other girls on her won. She took her coat off to reveal some baggy white pajama bottoms and a short t shirt which exposed just a small, tantalizing section of her midriff, making Joshua want to see more. She’d not worn a bra underneath, and Joshua could see the outline of her nipples through the t shirt.

Joshua took his own coat off, revealing a tight white undershirt and light blue boxer briefs with light pink stripes. Abi couldn’t help but notice the bulge in his boxers and averted her gaze, but not before Joshua noticed she’d seen. He started to feel quite self-conscious suddenly. And a little cold. Joshua and Abi laughed awkwardly at their unusual attire, and Abi took a glance at Joshua’s muscular thighs and toned calves on display, covered in a layer of light colored leg hair. His strong arms also looked good in that tight t shirt. Joshua didn’t actually go to the gym, but he ran a lot and did strength workouts at home, so had a lean but muscular create. He had short, dark blond hair, incidentally a very similar color to Abigail’s.

Joshua’s roommates emerged from the side room all wearing similar outfits to Joshua – in their case loose white t shirts and panties – as they had coordinated. “You guys look so amazing” Nicole said to the girls, ignoring Abi completely.

“So, lead us to the party!” Ashley said.

Nicole gestured through the door leading from the entrance hall to the main open plan living space, but put her hand up to stop the group as they approached.

“Wait wait, I’m sorry Joshua I’m not sure you interpreted the invitation properly. The “underwear” dress code for guys means no shirts, so you’ll have to take that off” she said, pointing at his t shirt.

“Wait are you serious?” Joshua asked with a nervous laugh, while his roommates giggled. Abi noticed her heart started beating just a little faster, and she blushed with embarrassment. “But this is an undershirt”.

“Rules are rules, and the other guys are shirtless. Guys just don’t look sexy in pajamas in the same way girls do. Now take your shirt off and leave it out here or you can’t come into the party.” Nicole said assertively.

With his three female roommates, his friend from college and a girl he’d never met all watching him, Joshua reluctantly took off his undershirt, feeling very exposed. The girls were all impressed with what they saw. His chest and abdomen were toned and enticing. A happy trail extended from his belly button down to his boxers, and a fainter trail extended up to his chest which was covered by a light smattering of hair. His pink nipples were hard from the cold. As he pulled his t-shirt over his head, his bare sides and hairy armpits were also visible to the girls, who were doing their best not to drool at this vulnerable, near naked guy in front of them.

Joshua felt very embarrassed by his state of undress in front of the comparatively more dressed girls. It’s not like his roommates hadn’t seen him shirtless from time to time before, but this felt very different, as he didn’t have a choice and their eyes were all focused on him. Stripping to his boxers in front of Nicole, a very confident girl who he didn’t know at all was also very embarrassing, and for some reason more embarrassing still was stripping in front of his old friend Abi.

Abi was stunned into silence by Joshua’s exposed body. She’d seen him shirtless lots of times in gym class years ago, but now he was a man he looked so different. So virile. She was quite turned on by the way he was standing in front of her without any clothes on, and the fact that she was much more covered up somehow made it even more enjoyable. She felt a rare confidence she didn’t usually feel with guys.

Nicole looked lustfully at Joshua, and decided that he’d be her mission for the evening. Ashley, Laruen and Megan were also enjoying the spectacle of their attractive roommate having to strip.

The group walked into the party, Joshua’s awkwardly folding his arms to cover his chest, in a failed attempt to reduce the feeling of vulnerability. He was shocked to find there were about 25 girls at the party already, but only 4 other guys. The girls were wearing many variations of pajamas, shirts and panties, nighties etc…. All were much more covered up than the guys who were stripped down to their boxer briefs. Nicole did have a point, Joshua wondered. The girls did look sexy in their cute pajamas, and guys probably wouldn’t have.

But that didn’t’ make him feel any more comfortable. In fact, thinking about the girls in their cute pajamas ogling him started to turn him on, which he didn’t want to happen in his current state of undress, so he tried not to think about it. This was gonna be an awkward party, Joshua wondered.
