HSP stood for Holo Sector Points, the number of points a player had won for capturing specific Gate Cards in addition to their respective Attribute bonus points (when applicable).

Shuji smiled as he drew his Subterra Gate Card. “Gate Card, set,” he said as he placed the card in his gauntlet and activated it. The same card appeared on the field, shining brown first before becoming black and grey.

Nora smiled as she drew her Pyrus Gate Card. “Gate Card, set,” she said as she placed the card in her gauntlet and activated it. The same card appeared on the field, shining red first before becoming black and grey.

Gate Cards were the playing surface used for the Zord battles. The cards contained a magnetic plate in their middle which triggered the Zord rolled onto them to open (“Stand”).

Gate Cards (Series 2 rules) come in three colors:

Gold: Provide additional bonuses based on type of Zords. They replaced the original Character cards.

Silver: Basic Gate Cards. They replaced the original Normal cards.

Bronze (sometimes called Copper): Gate Cards with unusual abilities. They replaced the original Command cards.

Gate Cards give bonus G-Power to based on their Attribute (Pyrus (Fire), Haos (Light), Subterra (Earth), Darkus (Darkness), Ventus (Wind), Frostus (Ice), Powerus (Electric), Shadon (Shadow), Steelis (Metal), and Aquos (Water)), with one attribute getting a “highlight bonus”.

Cards may be Common or Rare, and there are special cards only available in the Zord store.

Gate Cards are special Moves that set special conditions over the field. They dispel any Gate Cards before it when played and usually last about as long as the typical defense. (Darkus Gates are an exception to this rule as they will only dispel non-Darkus Gates in play, rather than dispel all Gates period. This means you can have multiple Darkus Gates in play at once.)

Shuji then loaded his Zord launcher with his Subterra Mantris. “Zord, Launch.” He then launched it and it landed on his Gate Card. “Subterra Mantris stand.”

The Zord ball rolled onto the Gate Card and then enlarged into its full form.

Mantris was a mantis-like Zord, in the following attributes; Pyrus (Fire), Haos (Light), Subterra (Earth), Darkus (Darkness), Ventus (Wind), Frostus (Ice), Powerus (Electric), Shadon (Shadow), Steelis (Metal), and Aquos (Water). It had the power of 270 Gs. Mantris was a mantis-like Zord.

In Zord form, Mantris was a huge Zord based solely on the appearance of a praying mantis. It has blades set into its feet and eyes that can see behind its head. It strikes with remarkable speed to eliminate its enemies. Mantris also has a large backside a bit like a bee stinger and is used for defense.

The stealthy Mantris can easily sneak up on its prey and pounce. Once this Zord has got its sharp claws into you, you won’t stand a chance!

You’ll need more than bug spray to take down this Zord. Mantris has eyes in the back of its head so it can see enemies sneaking up from behind. It attacks swiftly with the sharp blades on its feet.

Mantris is a very common Zord. A Pyrus Mantris was owned by Nora, Courtney and so does Tatsuya. Travis, Masquerade, Fiona, Kenji, and Ryo all have a Darkus Mantris. Shuji owns a Subterra Mantris and Willow used a Subterra Mantris in her fight against Klaus. Kathy and Shuji had a Haos Mantris. A Ventus one is seen being used by Star. An Aquos Mantris can be seen on Klaus’ wall decoration, as well as Rena used one. Naomi used a Steelis Mantris. Nora had a Powerus Mantris. Loriane had a Shadon Mantris. Chloe had a Frostus Mantris.

Mantris had the following different

ability cards;

Slice Cutter: Subtracts 50 Gs from the opponent. (Subterra)-(Darkus)

Twin Machete: Adds 100 Gs to Mantris. (Darkus)

Marionette: Mantris can move any Bakugan to any Gate Card that its owner chooses. (Darkus)-(Pyrus)

Sling Blazer: Enables Mantris to move any Bakugan to any adjacent Gate Card that its owner chooses. (Darkus)-(Pyrus)

Doom Companion: Removes an opponent Bakugan and Mantris from an ongoing battle. (Darkus)

Lightning Shield: (Note: Kathy and Shuji never used this ability on Haos Mantris.) Nullifies the opponent’s Gate Card. (Standard Haos Ability)

Mantris was seen in all ten attributes. Mantris was the first Zord to appear in Zord form and Ball form.

Mantris clicked it’s pincers menacingly. “You feeling lucky, little girl,” it said. “Toss out anything you want, but no one can face against my power.”

Shuji smiled. “Let’s show her how you play dirty,” he said. The Mantris hissed at the young speedster and tried to swing it’s claws at her. Nora dodged the strikes.

Nora smiled.Hmmmm, the Zord is clearly different from what I’ve seen before, she thought to herself. She accessed her ZordPod.

The ZordPod was a watch-like device used by the Zord Battlers to display statistics during a Zord battle. They were colored according to the Zord Battler’s attribute. During a battle, the ZordPod can be used to show; The number of Zords each player has, The G-Power of all Zords on the field, and The HSP each player has gained.

Battlers can also use ZordPods to send video messages to, and face-chat with, other Battlers and to check player rankings. ZordPods can be slid open to show a number pad and some additional buttons.

“Battlefield open,” the ZordPod said. “Zord detected; Subterra Mantris. Power level; 270.”

Nora was thinking about which Zord she should send out. “Come on, you little runt,” Shuji said. “Hurry up so I can humiliate you.”

Nora grunted in anger as she loaded her own Zord launcher with her Pyrus Serpenoid. “We’ll see about that,” she said. “Zord, launch.” She then launched her Zord. It rolled onto the same Gate Card. “Pyrus Serpenoid stand.”

Serpenoid hissed at the Mantris. Serpenoid came in the following attributes; Pyrus, Haos, Subterra, and Aquos. It had the power level of 320 Gs.

Serpenoid was a snake/serpent-like Zord. Serpenoid was a slithering monster that can wrap itself around a foe squeezing the life out of its opponents. Its attack was extremely fast, but the suffering it inflicted was slow and methodical. Its power grew as the life of its enemies was slowly sucked away, leaving them with nothing.

The slow squeeze was Serpenoid’s method of choice to subdue its enemies. The snakelike Zord wraps itself around a foe and slowly and painfully squeezes. Serpenoid will drain energy as it does this, making itself stronger while sucking all of its enemy’s power. You’ll often see Serpenoid slithering on the ground, but watch out. It can spring up and attack without a moment’s notice.

This slithering serpent moves so quickly, its foes don’t see it coming. It tightly wraps its body around its enemy and then slowly, slowly drains its power.

Serpenoid appears in the form of a large snake. With its winding body, it is commonly known to attack its opponents by coiling itself around them and draining them with its stinger until there’s nothing left of the enemy.

Nora used a Pyrus Serpenoid in many episodes. It was the first Bakugan she used. Courtney also had one. Unfortunately, Nora’s Serpenoid was sent to the Doom Dimension, but it was returned after the gang made it back from the World of Tests. It was later seen as one of Nora’s Zords going home to Vestroia. A group of Pyrus Serpenoids fought for Naga. Several Aquos ones and a Subterra one was seen fighting Naga’s forces. Takashi had a Pyrus Serpenoid as his Guardian Bakugan. Kathy had a Haos Serpenoid named “Snakie”. Hers, too, was sent to the Doom Dimension when she and Dan battled against Masquerade’s minions, Kenta and Kenji in A Combination Battle. However, “Snakie” was returned. Serpenoid opens with a head popping up and a tail going downward. The tip of the tail touches the bottom of the head when closed. When opened, a small part of the tail detaches itself, creating an extension of the tail. It was released in all Attributes.

In Japan, its Subterra version in BCV-02 comes with 330 Gs or 420 Gs. A Darkus Serpenoid has 400 Gs.

Serpenoid was Nora’s first Zord to be shown in Zord form. It was also one of the three Zords that were shown going into the portal to Vestroia. In ball form, it looks similar to Rattleoid.

“Zord detected: Pyrus Serpenoid,” the ZordPod said. “Power level: 320 Gs.”

“Let’s go,” Nora and Shuji said in unison. “Zord Brawl.”

The Subterra Mantris and Pyrus Serpenoid then proceeded to battle. They were clearly different. The Pyrus Zord then got the upper hand on the Subterra Mantris. “Looks like I’m gonna win this one.”

Shuji smiled. “That’s what you think,” he said. “Gate Card, activate.” The Gate Card that the Pyrus Serpenoid and Subterra Mantris were on turned into a subterranean area. There were pyramids nearby. “Subterra Normal Gate Card activated,” the ZordPod said. “Power boost detected, Subterra Normal, +150 Gs. Subterra Mantris power level increased to 420 Gs.

The Subterra Mantris then spawned a dick and balls. The Subterra Zord then tackled the Pyrus Serpenoid and then proceeded to fuck it hard and fast. The Pyrus Zord whimpered softly in pleasure. It was unable to stop the Sex session, due to the larger G power that Mantris had.
