Ok so this is a situation I don’t think I’ve ever been in before. I have this friend who is currently dating another woman. They’ve been together for about a year and she swears she’s only into women. Which is cool, she’s awesome and a good friend. But a couple of years ago she was dating a friend of mine, who is male. After they split she would subtly flirt with me at hang outs when my friends weren’t paying attention. I would even go visit her at work sometimes just to hang out and the flirting became less subtle. I started flirting back and went as far as to tell her she had a nice ass and I enjoyed watching her mop floors.
After a while of talking over a period of time I put it out there that if she ever wanted to hook up I was down. She kinda laughed it off and then told me she was only into girls. So obviously I became a bit confused. She has the right to change her mind sure, but she still flirts with me and even tells about the things her and her girl do together, in detail i must add. Maybe it’s just entertaining for her, but it only turns me on that much more.
I don’t know what to make of it. Does anyone have any opinions about it? Or what I need to do?

She may just be enjoying the effect she has on you without being attracted to you. Or only being into girls is what she’s decided rather than how she feels. Or the one guy you know she dated helped clarify things for her. This one is pretty hard to call.
All I can say from a birds eye view I had on a similar situation btw friends. Just don’t play it aggressive. If a girl is fluid in what she likes. Maybe the urge will come again and if she’s comfortable with you then there is a sliver of chance. Only way she’ll be comfortable is if you play it cool
