I awoke this morning with a thumping headache after a terrible night’s sleep. I then had to deal with my two month old daughter screaming her head off. I tried to feed her but she refused to eat anything. I ended up carrying her around the house in the hopes of quietening her down.

After almost two hours of trying to soothe her, she finally calmed down. I could see that she was about to fall back to sleep, so quickly set up the bed so that she could lie down on it without falling off. She fell asleep within seconds of placing her down on the bed.

I walked into the kitchen and grabbed some aspirin to ease my headache. I then sat down on the couch and knew that I would have to take her off the bed in about a half hour.

I awoke with a start and gazed at my watch in panic as I discovered that I had slept for almost four hours. My nostrils were assailed by the smell of meat cooking as I rushed towards my daughter.

Time felt like it had slowed to a crawl as my feet slowly made my way across the smoke filled room to where she lay on the bed. I let out a scream as I lifted up the sunbed to discover her blackened and crispy corpse lying within.
