I saw her! Long black hair wildly falling toward her face, the greenest pasture of eyes that I had ever seen on a person, the palest skin that stood out in the darkness. She stood like a painting on the wall, watching and waiting.

I saw her in the corner early in the morning when the sun hadn't made its mark yet. I went to get a drink of water when something pulled me to the living room like something or somebody wanted my attention. She was there in the corner as she was waiting on me patiently. I couldn't move. Her presence had me in a trance. The fear was evident as I felt warm urine going down my leg. I didn't even know I was screaming until my mother shook me out of the trance. " What's wrong?" she asked. I couldn't speak. I raised my hand and pointed to the woman. Mom stood there, her eyes following my finger. "There's nothing there," she said after a moment of silence. I was hoping she would say that so I could blame my wild imagination. "Go back to bed," she said, pulling me out of the room. She stopped walking and bent down in front of me. "I saw her too." Mom said quietly with a quiver in her voice. We were both drawn into a circle of fear. I backed away from my mom as terror stole my breath for a second. "Mom.. she's right behind you!"
