The only reason I came to this island was for some relaxation. But of course, that didn’t happen, instead I’m writing in this dumbass diary. There is only three of us left in the island now, me, Liz and Sebastian. Red deservedly died after sacrificing poor Sarah.

We were in Liz’s Inn conversing on how we should protect ourselves from the creature. We had lost track of time and it had gotten dark, so the creature was back. We heard something break in the distance, the communication tower, I think. The creature was smart, we knew it was only a matter of time before he came back for us.

Me and Sebastian begin blocking the door with whatever we could find. Liz pulls out an old rifle from underneath the counter and nervously tries loading it, dropping half the bullets on the floor in the process.

Suddenly we heard a thud on the door. It was back. I grabbed my knife and braced myself. With a bang, Splinters flow across the room from the door as it starts to cave with the weight of the creature pounding on it. Then suddenly it stopped.

Soon the silence began to drive me crazy, so I looked out the window. I could see it in the sky hovering before diving down toward us like a hawk. It was going so fast I lost track of it. I tried to warn people to stay away from the door, but I was too late. It broke through the door sending a table we had used to block it, sliding along to floor crushing the lower half of Liz’s against the counter and knocking her unconscious.

The creature was standing on the table, trying to pull Liz from the mass of broken wood. I ran over grabbed the leg off of the table and hid it across the back of its head, breaking it in two halves. But the creature wasn’t fazed in the slightest.

Sebastian then stumbled across the floor, picked up the rifle, cocked it, then fired, putting a large hole through its wing. It turned towards Sebastian, let out a deafening roar before aggressively pulling Liz from the rubble. It took off like a drunken bird, struggling to fly straight, due to its injury. Clumsily it dragged Liz through the cloudless sky. It was then I realised where it was going. The only thing in that direction besides cows was a sea cave that ran most the way through the island. That cave was the only reason anyone would come to this shithole.

Sebastian grabbed some diving gear, and I did the same We knew the only way we could survive that night was by killing that thing, before it killed us.
