“I wanted to create a film where the horror stays with you, ya’ know kind of follows you home”, explained the director reclining in the interviewee’s chair

Sarah looked at her phone, turned the tv off and grabbed her purse, ready to head to the cinema

Sarah and her friend Ann waved at each other in the car park, both excited to indulge in their love for horror films.

Two hours later they walked out disappointed and unimpressed.

The film was pretty run of the mill, a tall thin entity that whistles an eerie tune, with a big dash of gothic Victorian thrown in for good measure and the whole thing relying solely on jump scares.

The two friends laughed at how lame and predictable the film had been as they walked back across the car park finishing their popcorn and slurping up the dregs of their drinks.

After a quick chat by their cars, they both headed off home.

When Sarah got home she walked up the steps and, as she put her key in the door she heard a whistling somewhere in the distance. Her eyes darted around the dark street. There was no one in sight.

She paused on the doorstep for a moment before stepping inside and locking the door. Something made her check it, twice.

She quickly got over the uneasy feeling of the whistling in the street and got ready for bed.

As she drifted off to sleep she saw images running through her mind. Images of the entity from the film. Tall and pale with a top hat and evil grin of yellow teeth.

She tossed and turned as the images became more vivid and flashed across her eyes faster and faster.

Then she heard the whistling again. Her eyes sprang open. Her heart was pounding so fast she could feel it in her temple. Her skin was drenched with sweat.

Her wardrobe creaked open as the whistle came closer. Sarah watched in terror as a long pale arm reached out into her room. As she looked inside the darkness of the wardrobe she could see a set of yellow teeth grinning at her.

“Did you enjoy my motion picture?” Smiled the figure as it stepped closer, looming over Sarah’s bed.
